EPIC Early Learning is currently hiring for the position of Custodial Services Supervisor. As a private, nonprofit organization, EPIC has been serving the Central Washington community for over 45 years by providing high-quality early childhood educational services. Our mission is to create safe and nurturing environments for children to learn and grow.
The Custodial Services Supervisor is responsible for the coordination and supervision of custodial services for an assigned site. This position coordinates work processes with upper management to ensure the effective daily and ongoing cleaning, sanitation, maintenance, grounds keeping, and janitorial service to the East Valley, 5th Ave. & Naches ECEAP Centers in accordance with established health and safety standards; ensuring that the work complies in accordance with ECEAP performance standards, state licensing requirements and agency policies and procedures. Will be required to be on-call to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues.
Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize classrooms, kitchens, offices, restrooms, and common areas
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
Dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
Empty trash cans and replace liners
Restock supplies in restrooms and other areas
Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks
Report any safety or maintenance issues
Assist with set up and clean up for special events or activities
Be committed to characterizing a culture of safety within our centers, playgrounds, buses and anywhere that children may be present. Be familiar with and encourage EPICs culture of “Speak up, Speak Out".
Associates degree in related field, OR, combination of education and/or relevant work experience.
Two years of previous custodial experience, with knowledge of sprinkler systems; minor repairs; appropriate use of cleaning chemicals, and proper health and safety practices.
Ability to physically operate floor stripper, buffer & carpet shampooer
Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Possesses a valid driver’s license and has reliable transportation and required auto insurance.
Knowledge of HVAC systems is a plus.
Pay Level:
$20.00 per hour DOE (position available for 10 months each year)

Conditions of Employment:
Prior to employment, complete a pre-employment drug screen, Tb skin test by an EPIC approved healthcare provider at no cost to the employee.
Pre-employment basic physical by an EPIC healthcare provider (obtain within (30) days of employment and no cost to the employee).
Must pass an initial and periodic background check through the Washington State Department of Children, Youth & Families (DCYF).
Provide proof of MMR vaccination and/ or resistance to Measles, Mumps & Rubella.
Current Food Handlers card (obtain the training within 30 days of employment).
Current First Aid/CPR card (obtain within thirty 30 days of employment).
Complete Child Abuse and Neglect training and all other mandated training.
