Custodial Staff

Position Purpose: To present a welcoming oasis by keeping our facilities clean. To provide spaces that are always presentable and ready for use.

Role Basics | Responsibilities and Expectations: 

• 
  Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming: Cleaning various floor types, including wood, tile, linoleum, and carpet. 


• 
  Dusting and polishing: Cleaning furniture, walls, and equipment. 


• 
  Sanitizing restrooms: Cleaning and restocking restrooms with soap, paper towels, and toilet paper. 


• 
  Emptying trash receptacles: Disposing of trash and recycling materials properly.  


• 
  Waxing floors: Performing specialized cleaning tasks. 


• 
  Cleaning windows and mirrors: Maintaining a clean and well-maintained appearance of the facility


• 
  Moving and arranging furniture: Preparing rooms for special events and  needs. 


• 
  Performing of there duties as assigned: Be flexible and adaptable to various needs of the facility

Preferred Experience and Education:

High School Diploma or GED

1+ years experience in a facilities maintenance and/or custodial role for a large facility

Skills:

Must be able to lift 40+ lbs

Bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, moving light furniture/equipment

Walking/Standing for long periods of time

Pushing carts with supplies

Required Competencies:

Ownership and pride in work, taking initiative

Able to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaborate effectively with others

Current driver license

Time Requirement:

Full time, 40+ hours per week, non-exempt
