Custodian

Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in our facility and offsite apartments. The Custodian will ensure that the workplace and residential spaces are sanitary, safe, and welcoming for staff, residents, and visitors. This role requires a proactive individual who takes pride in their work and helps to create a clean and productive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including restocking supplies such as soap and toilet paper.
• Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly.
• Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors.
• Ensure that common areas such as kitchens, break rooms, and hallways are clean and organized.
• Maintain outdoor areas by sweeping walkways, removing debris, and performing light landscaping tasks.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards (e.g., leaks, broken equipment) to the supervisor.
• Clean offsite apartments as needed, ensuring all areas are properly sanitized and maintained.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and restock as needed.
• Set up and arrange furniture for meetings, events, and other activities.
• Follow all safety protocols and ensure that cleaning materials are used appropriately and stored safely.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

 Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial or janitorial experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks independently.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to lift, bend, and stand for long      periods.
• Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and techniques.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Ability to travel to offsite locations for apartment cleaning as needed.
