Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: As the Housekeeper, this individual is responsible for ensuring the VA unit is clean, has the necessary supplies. In addition, the housekeeper is responsible for cleaning staff lounge and providing supplies for the staff lounge and the public rest rooms.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

1. Weekly wash sheets, blankets, etc. for the VA unit.

2. Daily clean VA unit.

3. Twice weekly clean VA gym/exercise room.

4. Mop bathrooms and rooms weekly and as often as needed.

5. Clean VA television rooms daily.

6. Stock supplies [coffee, cream, cups, etc.] daily for VA unit.

7. Responsible for providing supplies to the women’s unit, VA unit, staff lounge and the public rest rooms.

8. Report daily any item that needs to be repaired or replaced.

Perform such duties as may be assigned by the Assistant Executive Director and/or the Executive Director.

Requirements

 Position Qualifications:

1. Minimum Education: High School graduate or GED.

2. If in recovery, must have at least one (1) year of continuous drug-free sobriety.

3. Must be proficient in oral and written communication.

4. Must have a current valid Mississippi license and a clean driving record.
