Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Denver has been serving Northern Colorado since 1927. We serve tens of thousands of people each year in seven ministries: Marisol Services, Early Childhood Education, Shelter Services, Catholic Charities Housing, St. Raphael Counseling, Family, Kinship, and Senior Services; and Parish & Community Engagement.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

A Custodian at Catholic Charities:

• Vacuum hallways at least once daily and classrooms 2 to 3 times weekly and keep them free of trash. 
• Vacuums offices weekly.
• Sanitize toilets and washbasins in all bathrooms daily. Mop floors in all bathrooms at least once daily.
• Keep trash picked up from all playground areas and surrounding sidewalk areas.
• Refill toilet paper, paper towels and soap dispensers at the end of each day and as necessary during the day.
• Keep walls in hallways and classrooms clean.
• Wash windows throughout the classrooms as needed but at least quarterly. 
• Strip and waxes floors if applicable, on an as needed basis.
• Dusts blinds and other surfaces weekly.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to remain calm in an emergency and/or confrontational situation.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Salary: $19.00-$20.50 per hour. Full Time.

Training provided within the first year of employment includes: De-escalation & Safety; Mental Health First Aid; Substance Abuse & Mental Health; Human Trafficking; Trauma Informed Care; and many more.

• 403b Retirement Plan with Agency contribution of 4% & match up to 2% of annual compensation.
• Choice of 3 PPO Medical Plans (90% of employee's and 75% of dependent’s premiums is paid by Agency), Dental, & Vision starting the 1st day of the month following start date.

**Part-time employees (20-29 hours per week) also receive paid annual leave, company paid holidays, and 403b retirement plan with agency contribution and match.
