Custodian

MalaceHR is seeking experienced Custodians in an commercial/manufacturing environment in Plymouth, MI (5 Mile/Haggerty)

• 4p-12:30a


• $15.00/hour


• MUST have reliable transportation and GREAT attendance.


• Temporary position for apx 1 month but may turn into long term

Duties & Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans


• Dusts and damp mops floors following approved procedures


• Moves equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and place furniture back in correct placement


• Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment. Sanitize all surfaces. Follows the eight-step cleaning procedure


• Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and staff


• Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines


• Strips, scrubs, buffs, shampoos carpet and refinishes floors


• Performs other duties as assigned

While janitorial is a good part of the services we offer, we also handle various other tasks. Tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Removing and Bailing Cardboard


• Moving and stacking Pallets


• Floor cleaning


• Fork truck operation

Qualifications

• Previous custodial, janitorial, cleaning experience preferred


• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling greater than 50 lbs.


• Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals


• Must have reliable transportation
