COST of WI and Refractory Services, Inc. are looking for a dependable, energetic custodian to keep our offices, shop areas, and shared spaces clean, organized, and welcoming. What You'll Do

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in office and shop areas, including locker rooms.


• Dust and clean desks, shelves, windows, locker rooms, etc.


• Empty trash and dispose of waste according to recycling procedures.


• Coordinate dumpster pickup based on the schedule.


• Clean and restock restrooms, maintain common areas.


• Keep breakrooms fresh and clean to include sinks, microwaves, dishwasher filters, and trash cans.


• Ensure that conference rooms, meeting spaces, and offices are clean and ready to use.


• Maintain safety standards by returning moved items and addressing potential hazards.


• Monitor cleaning and restroom supplies to ensure adequate stock.


• Report safety or maintenance concerns such as leaks or broken equipment to the supervisor.


• Safely handle cleaning products and chemicals.


• Assist with moving furniture and other items when needed
  

What You Bring

• High school diploma or G.E.D


• 2-3 year of related custodial experience


• Positive, proactive approach toward work


• Sense of urgency and strong time management skills, to meet deadlines


• Good verbal, reading, and written communication skills


• Team-oriented and professional


• Able to maintain confidentiality if exposed to sensitive information


• High level of initiative and dependability


• Ability to understand and follow safety procedures


• Attention to detail and efficient


• Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and proper handling of cleaning materials

This position is active and requires the ability to move throughout office and shop environments. You’ll regularly use your hands, stand, walk, climb or balance, and bend, kneel, crouch, stoop, or crawl. You must be able to lift, move, and handle items. Physical stamina is needed, to stand, walk, and perform cleaning tasks for extended periods.

You should have adequate close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus.

You’ll work in office and production environments with typical production noises, machinery, odors, and cleaning solutions. Noise levels are generally moderate.
