Custodian

The Position:

The Cleaning Attendant will be responsible for cleaning our facility, maintaining all indoor areas and premises in orderly condition. Maintains a courteous disposition. Strong attention to detail and conscientious of a safe work environment. Demonstrates honesty, integrity, and hard work ethic.

Primary Job Duties:

• Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets
• Wash and sanitize restrooms, toilets, sinks and restock disposables (e.g., soap)
• Wipe mirrors and windows
• Dust off surfaces
• Laundry
• Undertake occasional tasks such as moving tables, chairs, etc.
• Proper usage of supplied janitorial chemicals
• Proper use of safety gear
• Report major damages and oversee repairs
• Security of company property
• Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash and tidying workspace

Job Physical Demands:

This is a physical role requiring the employee to frequently use motions to include, but not limited to lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, grasping, scrubbing, bending, squatting, going up and downstairs, continuous standing and walking, and any combination of the above.

Qualifications:

· Previous experience as custodian, janitor, or similar role

· Self-starter with the ability to work with limited supervision

· Excellent time management skills

· Great at communication 

· Well organized

· Responsible, and Trustworthy

· Detail oriented 

· Ability to establish priorities and proceed with tasks

· Knowledge of use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and appliances

· Knowledge of safe disposal of chemicals liquids and other hazardous components

· High School diploma is preferred but not required

· Reliable

· Loyal and caring 

Schedule:

Full-Time: Monday-Thursday | Evenings
