As a Custodian, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for the children, families, staff, and community members we serve. Your work will play an important role in ensuring our center is ready to support Family Focus programs and daily operations.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Clean and maintain assigned areas of the facility, including program spaces, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize floors and surfaces as needed.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and high-traffic areas.
- Empty trash and replace liners as needed.
- Restock restroom, kitchen, and cleaning supplies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for children, families, staff, and visitors.
- Check entrances, exits, stairs, and walkways for cleanliness and potential safety concerns.
- Report maintenance, safety, or facility concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down spaces for programs, meetings, and special events as needed.
- Help ensure the building is clean, safe, and ready for daily operations.
- Secure assigned areas at the end of the shift as required.
- Perform other maintenance, cleaning, and custodial duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have the following education and experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous custodial or cleaning experience preferred.
- Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, families, and visitors.
- Availability to occasionally support events or meetings outside of regular business hours.
This is a part-time non-exempt position.
Hourly rate: $17.50/hour
Schedule: Mon - Fri 2:30 PM - 6:30 PM (20 Hours/Week)
