JOB SUMMARY: Support and oversee all areas of building maintenance and custodial care.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: The North Building Technician working with the Director of Facilities Ministry is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the property to meet the demands of the daily and long-term operations of the facilities.
Essential Function
Flexible hours and the ability to be reachable during events outside of their normal work week.
Maintains systems for monitoring and tracking repair requests, preventative maintenance work performed, supplies and parts inventories and purchases.
Maintains sufficient inventories of tools, parts and supplies to properly maintain the property.
Maintains property map that clearly identifies all utility cut-offs, the location of hydrants, gas mains and any other property safety information.
Tracks, records and submits information related to electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems as may be required by federal, state and local law in conjunction with the Director of Facilities Ministry.
Keeps storage and surrounding facilities neat, well-stocked, clean and organized Works with the Director of Facilities Ministry to adhere to budgeted costs parameters along with purchasing supplies, equipment and contract work according to procedures.
Regularly inspect property for safety and security issues and ensures general required maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely manner. Discuss larger needs with the Director of Facilities Ministry.
Responsible for the daily operations, room set up for events and cleaning, including per licensing code for the Mary Evans Child Care Development Center, to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for our staff, members and visitors.
Work with other Facilities Staff employees to achieve objectives.
Work directly with the Director of Facilities Ministry, staff and church members for set up of church events and building operations.
Regularly inspect the church premises for areas of need or concern. Attend specific meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Two years’ experience in a facility related organization.
General Maintenance Skills preferred.
Previous involvement with non-profit organizations helpful.
Ability to lift 65 lbs. and good mobility to bend, stand, climb and walk.
