Job Summary: The Custodian will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe manufacturing environment. This position will require cleaning and sanitizing manufacturing areas, equipment, and tools. The Custodian will also be responsible for adhering to safety procedures, identifying and reporting safety hazards, and ensuring that all equipment is in good working order.

Key Responsibilities: 

· Clean and sanitize manufacturing areas, equipment, and tools. • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors. 

· Collect and dispose of trash and recycling.

· Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, and pressure washers. 

· Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need to be replenished.

· Follow safety procedures and report safety hazards to management. 

· Perform light maintenance and repairs on equipment and tools.

· Ensure that all equipment is in good working order.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent. 

· Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred. 

· Ability to operate cleaning equipment. 

· Knowledge of safety procedures. 

· Ability to lift heavy objects. 

· Attention to detail. 

· Good communication skills. 

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

· Willingness to work flexible hours.

Physical Requirements: 

· Ability to stand for long periods of time. 

· Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel. 

· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. 

· Ability to operate cleaning equipment.

Working Conditions: The Custodian will work in a manufacturing environment that may include exposure to loud noises, fumes, and chemicals. The position may require working in areas with limited lighting or ventilation. The Manufacturing Janitor may be required to work overtime or on weekends as needed.
