Custodian Lead

ENTEK is seeking applications for a Custodian Lead to join us on-site at our Lebanon, Oregon location (relocation within 40 miles of Lebanon is required).

The Custodian Lead completes routine work to maintain the cleanliness of ENTEK facilities across the Lebanon campus, as well as and oversees a team performing similar duties. While this role does not have direct reports, the incumbent will oversee and direct the work of two custodians. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the tasks outlined are completed in a timely and accurate manner.  

Key Responsibilities include:

• Monitor completion of all janitorial duties for self as well as the custodial team
• Direct custodial team on tasks based on specific needs each day
• Ensure cleanliness of restrooms, sinks, tubs/showers, toilets, urinals, hoppers, and mirrors
• Clean kitchenettes including counters, sinks, under-sink areas and refrigerators
• Clean lunchroom facilities, including tables, microwaves, counters, sinks, and refrigerators
• Empty and clean trash containers and restock all products
• Fill all soap, toilet tissue, and paper towel dispensers
• Collect recycling material from designated areas and place in appropriate bins
• Adherence with all safety policies, procedures and programs, including adherence to the PPE protocols
• Ensure workplace is kept clean, orderly, and maintained to 5S standard
• Dust mop, wet mop and vacuum offices, lunchrooms and select shop areas
• Damp wipe furniture 
• Damp wipe cubicle desks and counters in shared areas including conference rooms, copy rooms and printer rooms
• Wash walls, windows, doorframes and screens, window ledges and counters
• Strip and wax flooring using specialized equipment
• Clean carpets as needed
• Coordinate ordering of all custodial supplies
• Promotes and follows company policy, support management decisions and company directions
• Coordinate with administrative staff about campus activities and events

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience effectively leading or managing a team.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Ability to interact with others professionally and courteously.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Satisfactory results from a  pre-employment fit-for-duty screen and drug screen.
• Satisfactory results from a pre-employment background check.

Preferred Qualifications

• Custodial experience.
• Experience working with commercial-grade cleaning supplies.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Working Conditions

The hours for this role will start as Monday-Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Workdays may fluctuate based on operational needs.

This role requires spending most of the shift on your feet and walking. You will need to be able to climb step stools/ladders, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, push, and pull. Tasks will require finger dexterity, reaching, handling of materials and equipment, talking, and hearing, as well as near and far sight, peripheral vision, and depth perception. You will regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This role requires moving between different buildings, and may require some outside work, so you will be exposed to various weather conditions. You will be responsible for handling or moving hazardous waste materials and products. PPE appropriate to the work performed is provided by ENTEK.
