Custodian-2nd Shift

The Crystal Lake Park District is on the lookout for a Full-Time Custodian
who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and help our facilities sparkle! From community centers to recreation spaces, your work will ensure our guests feel at home—whether they're learning, playing, or just stopping by.

Work Schedule:  Sunday-Thursday, 5:30pm-2am, available to work some Fridays or Saturdays

🧽 What You'll Do:

• Keep floors so clean you can see your reflection—sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, buffing, and more


• Make restrooms fresh and functional (yes, they matter a lot!)


• Maintain cleanliness in offices, public areas, and event spaces


• Tackle minor repairs, replace lightbulbs, and help set up for fun events


• Keep exterior facility areas neat and tidy


• Use custodial tools and cleaning products like a pro


• Be a facility superhero—identifying and reporting issues before they become problems!

🔧 You Bring:

• A high school diploma or equivalent


• 2 years of custodial experience (preferred—but if you’re a fast learner, we’re listening!)


• A valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance


• Knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemical safety


• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work weekends/holidays as needed, and stay on your feet


• A team-first attitude, strong communication skills, and pride in your work
