Position Overview

Custom Interior Finisher – Drywall & Trim

This position will focus on high-quality interior finishing work within Apex’s new Renovation and Construction division. The role includes drywall installation and finishing, trim carpentry, and detailed interior work that ensures a clean, professional finish on every project.

Pay Range: $25-$30 Depending on experience

Hours: Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm and on call rotation 

Job Duties:

• Install drywall for renovation and construction projects


• Tape, mud, sand, and finish drywall to a high standard


• Install interior trim including:
  
  
  
  • Baseboards
  
  
  • Door and window casing
  
  
  • Crown molding
  
  
  • Interior doors
  
  
  
  


• Perform drywall repairs and patchwork


• Ensure all finishing work meets company quality standards


• Maintain a clean and organized jobsite
  


• Lead small teams on-site and assist in training junior techs


• Troubleshoot issues on-site and suggest solutions
  


• Operate tools, equipment, and machinery safely and properly


• Document job progress using company software


• Uphold all company safety standards and OSHA guidelines

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3–5 years experience in remodeling or finish carpentry


• Strong skills in drywall finishing, trim carpentry, and cabinet installation


• Understanding of residential construction best practices


• Ability to read plans, drawings, and specifications


• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship


• Ability to lead small teams and manage jobsite workflow


• Strong communication and customer service skills


• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record


• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various environments
  

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent


• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
  


• Ability to operate and maintain various types of equipment


• Ability to troubleshoot issues and find effective solutions


• Good communication skills with clients and other team members


• Knowledge of safety protocols and practices to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment


• Precision and attention to detail


• Light plumbing or electrical experience


• Tile installation


• Cabinet installation


• Past leadership or crew management experience


• Service Titan or similar software knowledge
