Eaton\u2019s Electrical Sector - ARS PDCA division is currently seeking a Custom Order Engineer based onsite at our Eaton Fayetteville facility. Relocation assistance is available to candidates currently residing in the US. \n\nThe Customer Order Engineer is primarily responsible for providing electrical and mechanical design and documentation support for power distribution product lines. This includes, but is not limited to engineering designs, collaborating with application engineers, and manufacturing associates, utilization of design automation software, and producing/maintaining manufacturing documentation. \n\nThe expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year. Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\n * Consult with plant and field sales engineers in interpreting and defining new equipment applications.\n * Develop a variety of complex drawings and bills-of-material based upon established product designs, which provides sufficient detail to accurately convey the purchaser\u2019s equipment application.\n * Coordinate mechanical and electrical interfaces with other products.\n * Advise Drafting/Design, Manufacturing, and Purchasing \u2013 when required \u2013 in interpreting information for the accurate production of equipment in accordance with the purchaser\u2019s requirements.\n * Manage purchaser onsite visits to approve and/or release equipment for shipping.\n * Manage Manufacturing and Engineering Change Notices.\n * Demonstrate advanced computer skills with ability to learn required software (Bid Manager, AutoCAD, Design Automation, MAPICS).\n * Consult with Quality in resolving issues after the equipment is shipped, when required.\n * Conduct special development/application projects of a complex nature.\n * Inform cost and cycle time improvement activities.\n * Conduct technical training guidance and seminars, as required.\n * Analyze needs and recommends revisions to Department Policies and Procedures.\n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nBasic (required) Qualifications: \n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in electrical, electronics, or mechanical engineering from accredited institution.\n * Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8.\n * Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Overall cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.\n * Electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing Internship/Co-Op experience.\n * Knowledge of power distribution products (LV and MV Switchgear, Panelboards and Switchboards, Motor Control Centers, etc.).\n * Previous knowledge or experience with PLC or relay programming.\n * Previous experience with AutoCAD.\n * Project Management experience.\n\n\n\nPosition Success Criteria:\n\n * Strong analytical, computer, writing, presentation, and customer service skills.\n * Ability to communicate technical information to customers and manufacturing.\n * Knowledge of the fundamentals of electrical and mechanical engineering \u0026 design.\n\n\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
