As a Key Account Coordinator, you will serve as the central point of communication between drivers, customers, and internal teams. You’ll own the day-to-day execution of shipments, ensuring every load moves efficiently, accurately, and on time.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00AM to 2:30PM
Pay: $20 - $23/hr. based on experience.
What will you be doing?
Manage inbound calls from drivers and customers, providing clear, professional support.
Proactively place outbound calls to drivers to obtain status updates and ensure on-time performance.
Dispatch loads efficiently, ensuring timely pickup and delivery to meet customer expectations.
Provide price quotes to customers via phone and email with accuracy and confidence.
Resolve pickup and delivery challenges quickly, partnering with drivers, customers, and third-party locations to remove roadblocks.
Monitor dispatched orders closely, tracking timelines and communicating updates daily.
Maintain consistent communication with customers via phone, email, and chat regarding shipment status.
Coordinate special scheduling needs, including store openings, closures, and promotional events.
Ensure drivers are equipped with required paperwork for successful vehicle loading.
Audit loads to prevent overweight bundles and confirm high-value vehicles are assigned to enclosed transport when required.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting and internal teams to ensure accurate pricing and timely month-end payment processes.
Build strong relationships with carriers to improve speed-to-market and service reliability.
Partner closely with Key Account Leads and Managers to support client requests with urgency and precision.
Take ownership of additional responsibilities as assigned in support of operational excellence.
What are we looking for?
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous customer service experience preferred, transportation or logistics experience a plus.
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-moving environment.
Comfortable handling frequent phone communication with drivers and customers.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and order entry systems.
Knowledge of transportation industry practices and regulations is a plus.
A sense of urgency, accountability, and ownership over assigned accounts.
