Customer Account Representative
The Customer Account Representative (CAR) serves as a crucial intermediary between customers, the sales department, and the service department. The CAR must exhibit a high level of detail, organization and initiative. Additionally, the role requires exceptional clerical skills for routine tasks and strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist walk-in customers with computers, accessory, office and supply sales
- Process sales packets and establish customer, equipment, and contract records in the system
- Perform daily tasks such as billing audits, review pending contracts, and check sales inventory status
- Generate monthly meter billing reports and gather meter readings from customers before preparing contracts for invoicing
- Generate monthly contract renewal reports, calculate new rates, and submit for approval before inputting into the computer system
- Process additional reports such as commission, territory, trade-in, and vendor program credits
- Answer phone calls and address customer inquiries regarding equipment, service, supplies, and billing
- Assist in resolving billing issues and making necessary corrections
- Assist the team with Interterritorial negotiations and paperwork
- Manage filing and document storage of all sales and contract agreements from the sales and service department
- Help the other Customer Account Representatives when needed and assist with other job duties as needed
Experience Requirements:
- One year of experience with Microsoft Windows
- One year of clerical experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Job Specifications:
- Strong written, verbal, math and listening skills
- Able to work independently
Other Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand at a desk using a computer monitor, keyboard, and telephone for up to eight hours a day
- Clear vision and hearing, with corrective means if necessary
- Availability for occasional overnight travel for training purposes, if required
Pay Range: $19-23 per hour/depending on experience.
