Job Description - Customer Activations & Strategy Lead

Led by ex-Stripe operators and backed by Pear VC, General Catalyst and execs from OpenAI, Stripe and Slack, DealOps is pioneering AI‑driven tools that enable flexible pricing, streamline workflows and boost sales performance.

The opportunity

We’re hiring a Founding Customer Activations & Strategy Lead to build our activations motion from scratch. This is an in-person role based in San Francisco. If you’ve delivered slide decks recommending change, here’s your chance to own the change—and watch it ship the same week. Perfect for ex-consultants who crave:

  • Ownership – full end-to-end accountability, no hand-offs

  • 1 → 10 growth – writing playbooks, not following them

  • Customer activation – hands-on onboarding, adoption and expansion

  • Strategic projects – turning insights into GTM and product bets

  • High-profile exposure – work directly with heads of Pricing, Finance and RevOps at unicorns like Plaid and Airwallex

  • PM on-ramp – clear path to Product Management once you’ve nailed activations and are shaping roadmap decisions daily

What you’ll own

  • Activate & onboard customers – design and run POCs, implementations and training that make first value obvious and fast

  • Drive expansion – mine pricing & usage data to surface new upsell opportunities

  • Strategic activation projects – build scalable playbooks (docs, training, dashboards) that move us from founder-led to repeatable motions

  • Voice of the customer – collect customer feedback and package it into clear hypotheses for Product & Engineering

What makes you a fit

  • 3+ years at a top consulting firm (or similar strategy/ops role) owning client workstreams end-to-end

  • Comfortable turning messy problems into structured plans—and rolling up sleeves to execute

  • Strong analytical skills (Excel/Sheets, Looker, SQL a plus) and crisp storytelling for QBRs & C-level syncs

  • Demonstrated interest in moving into Product Management

  • Experience with SaaS, GTM tooling or B2B pricing a plus, but attitude beats exact background
