Job Description - Customer and Operations Support Specialist

Job Overview


The Customer and Operations Support role will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries related to product specifications, availability, and stock levels. This position involves providing essential documentation, managing inventory, and supporting various operational tasks to maintain efficient workflow and high-quality standards. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate will be proactive in addressing customer needs and supporting the operations team to ensure seamless workflow and high-quality service.


 


 Responsibilities:



  • Respond to customer inquiries addressing questions for product specifications, availability and stock levels.

  • Provide customer with requested documentation (Datasheets, COA, MSDS).

  • Inventory of OEM products by stocking and cataloging according to current standards.

  • Perform quality checks on stored inventory and update system accordingly.

  • Reviews backorder log and determine if a new production is needed.




  • Monitors production and requests QC testing as needed.



  • Assists as a backup to the operations support specialist position.




  • Will require assistance as a backup for basic lab work such as aliquoting, dilutions, and lyophilizing.



  • Monitor Labguru work order errors and update as needed.

  • Distribute custom documentation and shipment information for international shipments.

  • Datasheet: print or request for all orders and place them with the outgoing shipment.

  • Update the production flowchart for backorders, stock, kits and R&D products.  


  


Requirements:



  • Bachelor’s degree in science with 2 years of related experience required.



  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, and Word) applications preferred.

  • Requires strong communication, organizational and time management skills.

  • Must be detail-oriented, have excellent organizational and record keeping skills.

  • Must be an efficient multi-tasker who can alternate between working alone or with a small team.

  • Must possess good time management skills and follow instructions with a high degree of accuracy
