Job Description - Customer & Quality Systems Manager
Eaton\u2019s Aerospace Division is currently seeking a Customer \u0026 Quality Systems Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Jackson, MI facility. \n\nThe expected annual salary range for this role is $113000 - $165000 a year. \n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nPosition Overview: \nStrategic quality leader accountable for developing, optimizing, and governing quality systems and processes that serve internal and external stakeholders. Provides high level technical direction to Quality Engineers and Operations teams across the Jackson facility and other Eaton locations. Ensures seamless alignment with customer, industry, and internal requirements tied to contractual obligations. Leads cross site integration of Quality System processes, leveraging best practices to drive consistency, compliance, and operational excellence. Champions talent development by coaching, mentoring, and training quality engineering and hourly team members to strengthen organizational capability.\n\nEssential Responsibilities: \n\u2022 Execute overall strategy with minimal supervision. \n\u2022 Oversight for all first, second, and third-party audits. \n\u2022 Establish, implement, and maintain quality assurance procedures, policies, and standards that align with Aerospace Quality System requirements and Eaton\u2019s internal objectives. \n\u2022 Establish targets for Eaton-Zero Defect Plan (EZDP). \n\u2022 Responsible for quality contract reviews and implementation. \n\u2022 Lead and provide technical counsel to cross-functional teams and/or Leadership. \n\u2022 Communicate directly with customers to clarify requirements, address quality concerns, and support issue resolution. \n\u2022 Lead second and third party audits. \n\u2022 Oversight of escape management activity (Point Brief, PIC, RCCA, etc.) \n\u2022 Global RCCA communication and lessons learned sharing. \n\u2022 Monitoring and directing Return Material Processing to assure healthy queues are maintained while also identifying potential improvement projects. \n\u2022 Repair Station (FAA Part 145)\n\n## Required Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s Degree from an accredited institution\n * 7 years of quality experience\n * 2+ years of experience with coaching and development of other\n * AS9100 Lead Auditor Certificate or ability to obtain in 6 months of hire.\n * This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. \u2018Green Card Holder\u2019), Political Asylee, or Refugee.\n * No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of 50 miles of Jackson, MI will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.\n * Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future \n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \n\u2022 Graduate Degree \n\u2022 Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt Certification is preferred. \n\u2022 5+ years in Aerospace Manufacturing \n\u2022 ASQ CQE or CMQOE is preferred \n\u2022 EQMS Auditor Training and Certification \n\u2022 Experience with UAW contract and following proper protocol \n\u2022 FAA regulations pertaining to TSO/PMA, Repair Station (FAA Part 145)\n\n## Skills:\n\n\u2022 Ability to read and interpret Geometric Dimensioning \u0026 Tolerancing (GD\u0026T) principles, and specifications. \n\u2022 Knowledge in Calibration (ISO 17025) \n\u2022 Core tools \n\u2022 Strong Root Cause Corrective Action tools. \n\u2022 Subject Matter Expert of AS9100, NADCAP and Six Sigma principles. \n\u2022 Familiarity with ERP systems and quality management software. \n\u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office \n\u2022 Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.\n\n## Additional Information:\n\n\u2022 Travel may be required (\u003c30%) \n\u2022 Opportunity to gain exposure to and work with many teams from manufacturing operations, design engineering, program management office, FED leadership team, order management/contracts, etc.\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
