About this Role

We’re Looking for Customer Engagement Specialist at CMA's Volvo of Charlottesville with a passion for providing exceptional customer service and creating positive shopping experiences. This role involves assisting customers in selecting vehicles, closing sales, and ensuring a positive purchasing experience. The Customer Engagement Specialist is pivotal in driving our dealership’s growth by connecting with potential customers, nurturing leads, and providing top-notch service that keeps clients coming back. Requirements

Required Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED is required, along with one to three months of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and training. Strong communication skills, basic math proficiency, and problem-solving abilities are essential. Candidates must have a valid driver's license. The state sales license must be obtained after hiring and successfully passed to maintain employment as a sales representative. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sell and deliver a minimum number of vehicles per month, meeting dealership targets.
  • Write complete sales orders and process paperwork in line with dealership policies.
  • Utilize dealership sales control and follow-up systems effectively.
  • Attend product and sales training courses as requested by the sales manager.
  • Stay informed about new products, services, and industry trends.
  • Maintain an owner follow-up system that fosters repeat business and referrals.
  • Develop and manage a prospect pipeline to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Conduct business in an ethical and professional manner.
  • Assist customers in selecting vehicles by asking questions and actively listening.
  • Explain product features, benefits, and optional equipment to customers.
  • Offer and coordinate test drives in compliance with dealership procedures.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws governing auto sales.
  • Set personal income goals and develop strategies to achieve them.
  • Ensure the sales manager meets every customer before finalizing a sale.
  • Work closely with finance and insurance managers for completed transactions.
  • Prepare sold vehicles for customer delivery and provide thorough vehicle orientation.
  • Introduce customers to service department personnel for future maintenance needs.
  • Schedule first service appointment and ensure post-delivery requests are fulfilled.
  • Participate in sales meetings and continuous improvement processes.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in automotive sales or retail sales preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Goal-oriented with a drive to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Knowledge of vehicle features, warranties, and financing options is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to dealership processes.

Earnings Potential 

Up to $80,000 annually, including bonuses
