Position Overview:

The Customer Relation and Surveying Specialist is a vital role in bringing our survey services to market. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in land surveying, project management, office administration, and quality assurance/control. This role requires a proven leader with a strong background in operational management and a commitment to driving sales, productivity, and profitability. The role will collaborate closely with sales, engineering, drafting and our licensed surveyors to define, coordinate and meet customer expectations. 

 
 

Key Responsibilities:

Client & Business Development:

  • Consult clients to define customer expectations and requirements. 
  • Operate and maintain knowledge of industry-relevant software and      practices. 
  • Consult and advise the sales team on market/customer opportunities and      account management.
  • Optimize surveying operations by implementing the best practices,      managing budgets, and improving performance metrics.
  • Ensure strong stakeholder management, maintaining trust and      collaboration with clients, builders, and trade partners.
  • Maintain and expand client relationships by delivering high-quality      services and solutions.
  • Assist in developing proposals for land surveying projects.
  • Travel within the Central Region, with occasional travel to other      states or markets as necessary.

Quality Assurance & Risk Management:

  • Direct the quality control and assurance for survey related      services. 
  • Ensure quality control, risk management, and compliance with legal      and safety standards for all survey-related work.
  • Support and implement new services to enhance surveying capabilities.
  • Collaborate with leadership to set goals and operational standards,      ensuring alignment with best practices.

Requirements

  

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5+ years of construction consulting and surveying experience required.
  • 2+ years of project management experience.
  • 2+ years of Sales or Customer Service experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Strong financial, technical, and leadership skills.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

  • This role will be an in-office environment (Houston or San Antonio).
  • Requires frequent travel across the Central Region.
  • Must be able to traverse active construction sites and lift      equipment up to 60 lbs.
  • Full-time position, Monday–Friday, with occasional evening and      weekend work as needed.
