Job Description - Customer Service Lead

The Customer Service Lead ensures smooth front desk operations and excellent visitor experiences. This role supports front desk staff, and provides customer service front of house; coordinates group visits, volunteer activities, birthday parties, and special programs and events, and oversees all revenue sales, including memberships, retail and related transactions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, creative, adaptable, self motivated, and skilled at problem-solving in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting.



Responsibilities


·       Run front desk operations


·       Support front desk staff in delivering high-quality customer service


·       Coordinate group visits, volunteer programs, and special events


·       Oversee all revenue sales, including memberships and front desk transactions


·       Organize exhibit materials, report damaged items, and communicate repair needs


·       Ensure compliance with museum policies and procedures


·       Collaborate across departments to improve visitor experiences




Qualifications


·       Strong technology skills and comfort using cloud-based platforms


·       Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms preferred, but not required — willingness to learn is essential


·       Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring a diverse team, including volunteers, high school students, and individuals with varying support needs


·       Spanish language proficiency is a plus


·       Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, but not required


·       Proficiency in Google Workspace


·       Prior administrative experience in an operational, museum or customer service setting a plus




Work Schedule Full-time,  up to 32 hours per week. Weekend shifts required and some evenings for events.
