Customer Service Rep (Receptionist)

Position Overview

The Customer Service Representative plays a key role in this mission by ensuring  exceptional service and fostering strong customer relationships that contribute to WFR’s ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a courteous, professional, and positive attitude toward both customers and coworkers
• Serve as the initial point of contact by greeting customers, addressing their needs, answering phone calls, and resolving inquiries 
• Accurately enter all feed orders into the designated computer software system for processing and fulfillment 
• Manage the scaling process for trucks and agronomy equipment
• Ensure consistent coverage at the front desk and scale in case of absense 
• Oversee retail sales, assist walk-in customers, input inventory sold into the POS system, and help with retrieving and loading purchased items
• Process and load bagged product orders, manage inventory, and set pricing
• Provide support for various accounting tasks 
• Maintain strong communication and coordination with the mill/grain operations team, grain merchandiser, and agronomy operations manager
• Operate a forklift as necessary to unload warehouse deliveries
• Refill small LP tanks for customers
• Be available to work extended hours as required to fulfill the responsibilities of the role

Requirements

Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma required. Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred. One year of related experience and/or training preferred.

Work Environment & Schedule

• Schedule: Full-time position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week. Regular hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Flexibility is required for extended hours as necessary, especially during peak seasons. During the fall (October and November), additional evening shifts (one evening per week) and 3–4 weekend days will be required to operate the scale.
   
• Environment: Work will take place in both indoor and outdoor settings. Noise levels range from quiet to moderate, with the majority of tasks performed in an office environment.
   
• Travel: Limited travel may be required occasionally for meetings, supply runs, or other business needs.
