Customer Service Representative – Omaha HQ
Full-time · Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM (1 hour lunch)

Our phones are the front door to Hometown Hero Appliance Repair. You’ll turn stressed-out homeowners into relieved customers by booking the right tech, the first time. Do it well, and you keep a 30+ year reputation intact—and growing.
Pay & growth
- $18.00 / hour during your first 90 days (paid training included)
- $18.50 after a 90-daysuccessful 90 day review
- Clear ladder: three internal CSR levels; average reps hit $19-21 / hour within 18 months

What you’ll do
- Answer ~60-80 inbound calls/day; place outbound follow-ups (no cold sales)
- Schedule service and dispatch field techs using Service Desk software
- Track parts deliveries; lift small boxes on occasion up to 30 lbs when preparing leave behind folders for techs
- Solve “Where’s my part?” mysteries before they become complaints
- Document every customer interaction—clarity saves truck rolls
- Jump into side quests: warranty paperwork, light office errands, monthly office lunch provided
Must-haves
- 1–2 years in a high-volume customer-service or call-center role
- Confident computer chops (multi-screen, Google Workspace, VOIP)
- Reliable: you show up on time, every time—our techs’ schedules depend on it
- Calm under pressure; you can juggle multiple calls and still spell dishwasher correctly
Nice-to-haves
- Dispatching experience or familiarity with appliance/repair lingo
- Spanish/English bilingual
- Love of spreadsheets and the smell of fresh coffee
Physical & work environment
Office chair, dual monitors, phone headset. Occasional lifting of small boxes (15-30 lbs). Climate-controlled, but a sense of humor is required.
