This position will be located at one of our Calera, Pelham, or Alabaster branches.
We have grown and are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing customer relationships, as well as contributing to the overall success of our bank.
Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service by promptly and accurately addressing customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person
Open new accounts, process account transactions, and assist customers with account maintenance
Handle over-the-counter account transactions for customers, including check cashing, deposits, withdrawals, & loan payments
Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate banking products and services
Resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely and professional manner
Maintain a thorough understanding of bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with other team members to ensure a seamless customer experience
Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance job knowledge and skills
Requirements
What you will need to succeed:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus
Prior cash handling experience, required
Previous experience in customer service, banking, or a related field is preferred
A smile and a great attitude
Highly developed sense of integrity and strong work ethic
Personable and outgoing; able to talk with customers and build rapport and relationships
Great attention to detail and providing accurate service
Technically savvy; able to use multiple computer systems and ability to adapt to change
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to bank policies and procedures
