Job Description - Customer Service Representative


Legacy Turkey has a full-time, benefits eligible, career opportunity in the role of Customer Service Representative (CSR) – Sales Support. This position serves as a key link between customers, the sales team, and plant operations. This role is responsible for managing customer orders, ensuring accurate order entry and fulfillment, coordinating with production and logistics, and delivering exceptional service to maintain strong customer relationships. The CSR plays a critical role in ensuring that customer expectations are met while aligning with production capabilities and company goals.

Located in Melrose, MN, Legacy Turkey employs many people in a variety of roles with varying levels of expertise. We hire individuals with a strong work ethic who align with our core values.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Serve as primary contact for customers and sales reps, ensuring timely and professional communication
  • Process and manage customer orders accurately in ERP systems
  • Coordinate with production, scheduling, and shipping to meet customer needs
  • Monitor order fulfillment and proactively resolve issues or delays
  • Manage order changes, including adjustments, cancellations, and substitutions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support smooth order execution
  • Build strong customer relationships and handle inquiries or concerns
  • Maintain accurate records and support reporting, forecasting, and demand planning

The ideal candidate we are seeking:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of customer service, sales support, or order management experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer-focused with a collaborative mindset
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented and adaptable in dynamic environments
  • Experience in food processing, agriculture, or manufacturing is preferred
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365), preferred
  • Knowledge of production scheduling or supply chain processes, preferred
