Customer Service Representative

Etai’s Food is a local, family-owned food company specializing in fresh, high-quality foods made for today’s busy lifestyles. Our food production facility prepares a variety of fresh-to-market sandwiches, salads, and ready-to-eat foods, with a focus on quality, freshness, and consistency. We also provide fresh, healthy, and delicious corporate catering options designed to make gatherings  and events easy and enjoyable.  

We are seeking a Customer Service Specialist. This position is responsible for ensuring accuracy of orders and delivery of the highest level of customer service. Builds loyalty by establishing and cultivating relationships with new and existing wholesale customers.

Essential Duties

• Establish, cultivate and manage profitable relationships with customers.
• Performs all data entry of orders processed from emails and the website.
• Ensures a great customer experience through flawless execution built by close communication with management.
• Take catering orders and is able to review menu in detail and address any nutritional restrictions with customers. Must develop detailed knowledge of ingredients of food items.
• Perform open and closing duties, such as run work orders/invoices and post in appropriate location.
• Responsible for providing our customers with quality service and maintains customer and client relations through flawless execution built by close communication with our delivery teams.
• Answer incoming phone calls and transfer to the appropriate department on an as needed basis.
• Responsible for handling customer-related issues. Responds promptly to customer inquiries, handle and resolve complaints in a timely manner.
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the position due to daily customer order deadlines, production schedules, and coordination requirements.  
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED. 
• Minimum of one (1) year customer service experience. Preferred experience in food or catering. 
• Strong working knowledge of MS WORD, Excel, and Outlook
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Maintain regular, consistent attendance & punctuality. Must have a flexible schedule. 

Physical Requirements

•  Ability to remain in a stationary position, primarily seated at a workstation, for extended periods while processing customer orders, responding to emails, and using computer and telephone systems. 
• Ability to frequently operate a computer, keyboard, telephone, and other standard office equipment throughout the workday. 
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and other departments in person, by telephone, and electronically. 
• Ability to occasionally move throughout the facility to communicate with Production, Catering, Shipping, and other departments regarding customer orders and service needs. 
• Ability to occasionally lift, carry, or move office supplies, product samples, catering materials, or similar items weighing up to 20–25 pounds. 
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements associated with keyboarding, data entry, and order processing. 
• Ability to work in an environment that may include normal office activity as well as occasional exposure to an active food production environment, including varying temperatures, noise, and food ingredients/allergens.

Hourly rate starts at: $22.00 and goes up depending on experience relevant to the position

Compensation is based on level of experience, including education, years of experience compared to requirement, and food manufacturing industry experience. The range provided is a guideline and does not mean that all candidates or current employees will qualify for the high end of the range.
