Sigma Systems is currently looking for an Customer Service Representative - Administrative to work onsite in the Liver Acquisition department at UMASS in Worcester, MA.
Shift Timings :
Monday - Friday.
8:00 am - 4:30 pm , 40 hpw, includes a 30 min break.
Responsibilities
Greets patients, family members and visitors to the hospital in a friendly, courteous and positive manner.
Provides directions, maps and/or assistance to all medical center clinics, departments and hospital areas.
Arranges for patient ambulatory assistance to reach the point of service
Triage patients/families to the appropriate staff as required.
Monitors the waiting area, identifying potential patient access flow issues. Reports concerns to appropriate management personnel.
May register patients or perform other administrative duties
if patient flow problems develop.
Complies with established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
EPIC experience , collecting co-pays, scanning of medical records and possibly entering in Authorizations.
Attends variety of meetings, conferences, and seminars as required or directed.
Demonstrates use of quality improvement in daily operations.
Complies with all health and safety regulations and requirements.
Respects diverse views and approaches, and contributes in maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.
Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed.
Requirements
High School graduate or equivalent. Strong customer service (1 year +) and communication skills.
Previous admin/secretarial experience.
Preferably, someone who's worked in healthcare and is comfortable answering patient calls, scheduling appts, etc.
