We are looking for a Full or Part-time customer service representative for a full-service agency in Rochester, MN. The individual we are seeking exhibits exceptional people skills but also has the ability to work independently on data entry projects where attention to detail is critical. Insurance experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Essential job duties

Answer general insurance questions from customers.

Gather information from customers and take that information and enter it into multiple company websites to provide competitive quotes.

Process policy changes and requests for insurance certificates.

Data-entry into the Agency Management System.

Ability to compare insurance policies for coverages, and offer additional coverages to customers

Knowledge, skills and abilities

Ability to work independently and remain productive without direct supervision

Maintain a high-level of attention to detail

Knowledge of insurance preferred, but not required.

Strong organizational skills.

Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

Working knowledge of computer software including Outlook and Microsoft Word preferred.

Ability to learn many different insurance company interfaces and work efficiently within them

Ability to use general office equipment.

Ability to learn and perform new duties and responsibilities.

Required education/experience/licensure

· Experience in customer service. Insurance experience preferred.

· High School diploma required, college experience/degree preferred

Minnesota license preferred, but not required. Will have to obtain license upon starting with agency.

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time / Need is Approx. 30 Hrs. week – but is flexible.

Compensation: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
