Job Description - Customer Service Specialist

JM Electronic Engineering Inc. is expanding our team in Pflugerville, TX and is looking for an organized, energetic, and customer-focused individual to join us as a Customer Service Specialist!


As a company dedicated to life safety and low voltage systems (like fire alarms, access control, and nurse call), we need someone who can be the reliable first point of contact for our valued commercial customers and our field technicians.



What You'll Do (Responsibilities):



  • Be the Voice of JMEE: Professionally answer and manage incoming customer phone calls, emails, and service requests related to fire alarm and low voltage system maintenance, service, and emergencies.

  • Technician Dispatch: Log and prioritize service calls, then efficiently dispatch the appropriate Fire Alarm and Low Voltage Technicians to job sites based on location, skillset, and urgency (including managing the on-call rotation).

  • Coordinate Schedules: Schedule service appointments, manage the technician calendar, and communicate clearly with customers about arrival times, delays, and job status.

  • Customer Support: Process basic customer inquiries, create service work orders, and handle follow-up communication to ensure every service request is completed to the customer’s satisfaction.

  • Administrative Support: Assist with maintaining accurate customer records, updating service history, and preparing reports for management.

  • Proven experience in a high-volume customer service or dispatch role is highly preferred.

  • Exceptional phone presence and the ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure (especially during emergency calls).

  • Outstanding organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.

  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in scheduling software, CRM, or work order management systems.

  • Self-motivated, reliable, and committed to working with honesty and integrity—values that define our team.
