Customer Service Supervisor – Des Plaines, IL
$80,000-$90,000/Annually
We are a world leader in the innovation and manufacturing of our technology, being one of the largest producers of our product offerings. Our Customer Service team in our brand new, state-of-the-art facility is looking for a Customer Service Supervisor who is organized, personable, and confident in their skills to oversee daily operations such as administering quotes, processing orders, and supporting customers on all our products from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
· Know, understand, and incorporate our philosophy, value and vision in all business behavior, practice and decisions
· Lead our Customer Service team in day to day activities and allocate department resources to support Regional Sales Branch in the areas of customer service, sales order management, and contract administration
· Maintain advanced, up to date working knowledge of our product lines, distribution methods and delivery requirements
· Communicate clear expectations and goals to all team members, taking corrective action when necessary
· Develop and maintain positive working-relationships with external customers and all internal departments and personnel
· Respond promptly, professionally, and with appropriate detail to customer inquiries pertaining to order information/status, product availability, quoting questions, and/or the plan of action to support customer requirements and on time delivery throughout the day
· Lead in-depth cause analysis to resolve escalated customer issues in alignment with established company policies, values, and procedures
· Establish, communicate, and measure customer service team's performance expectations Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to align with established business objectives
· Attend and/or participate in external/internal customer or company meetings or sales/marketing events and communicate information to upwards and downwards, as applicable
Requirements:
· 5+ years of Customer Service experience with a manufacturer/distributor
· 2+ years of leadership/supervisory experience preferred, but not required
· Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP
· Above average math skills for quoting, etc.
· Ability to efficiently problem solve and think on your feet
· Demonstrated ability to train and mentor others to excellence
