Customer Service/Purchasing Specialist

URM Stores, Inc. is currently looking for a motivated Customer Service/Purchasing Specialist to join our growing team! Reporting to the Director of Store Planning & Equipment, the Customer Service/Purchasing Specialist acts as the key point of contact for Member-Owners in need of equipment and/or small-ware supplies for their stores. This position follows-up with customers on order statuses and acts as a liaison between our Member-Owners and vendors.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Equipment & small wares ordering on for URM customers:

      o Prepare quotes using FoxPro purchase order system.

      o Negotiate shipping discounts and pricing with vendors.

• Equipment billing coordination:

      o Work with accounting team to research/resolve any discrepancies between URM Store Development purchase orders and  

          vendor invoices.

      o Verify equipment was received/installed prior to approval of payment/billing.

• Manage FoxPro purchase order system & coordination with accounting:

     o Maintain all vendors, and customers contact information in FoxPro system.

     o Coordinate with accounting on any new vendor, customer setups/changes.

     o Review month end margins by running queries monthly and updating spreadsheets.

• Manage inventoried retail items:

     o Order, maintain, and ship inventoried retail shelf tags, clips & box cutters for customers. 

     o Monthly inventory review and reporting.

• Promote vendor equipment sales:

     o Send out vendor marketing, seasonal décor, and any new product flyers to URM customers.

• Perform additional duties as requested. 
• Work Hours: 7:30am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday.
• Able and willing to work 100% on-site at our Corporate Office 7511 N. Freya St.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of customer service and/or purchasing experience with proven track record of customer follow-up.
• Minimum 2 years of Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Grocery store and/or food service experience a plus.
• Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and regular attendance required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Superior organization skills with the ability of multi-tasking.
• Work collaboratively with other departments while encouraging teamwork and group achievement.
• Excellent negotiator and decision maker based on facts. 
• Excels in a team-based, customer-centric culture. 
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. 
• Be willing to support and contribute to the achievement of departmental goals, company policies, and procedures.
