This is an in-office position for hire at Inspired Flight’s HQ in San Luis Obispo, CA.  



Job Description:


Inspired Flight Technologies is seeking a Customer Success Specialist I to join our Customer Success team and help deliver a high-quality support experience for customers operating Inspired Flight UAV platforms. This role serves as a frontline point of contact for customer inquiries, ensuring operators receive timely guidance and support as they deploy and use Inspired Flight systems.



The Customer Success Specialist I plays a key role in helping customers successfully adopt and operate our products. Responsibilities include responding to support inquiries, assisting with troubleshooting, and providing training to ensure customers can safely and effectively use their aircraft and payload systems. This role also supports customer onboarding and works closely with internal teams to maintain a high standard of customer satisfaction.



The ideal candidate is customer-focused, technically curious, and comfortable communicating with operators in the field. Experience with UAV operations or related technology is a plus, but a strong willingness to learn and develop technical expertise is essential.


This position reports to the Customer Success Manager and offers an opportunity to grow within a fast-moving UAV company while helping build and scale customer success processes in a dynamic startup environment.



Typical responsibilities:



  • Monitor and manage incoming support calls, emails, and support tickets

  • Provide timely responses to customer questions and basic technical issues via phone, email, and remote support tools

  • Assist customers with product setup, onboarding, and operational guidance

  • Deliver customer training on the safe and proper operation of Inspired Flight drones and payload systems, both virtually and in person

  • Escalate complex technical issues to Customer Success II or Engineering teams as needed

  • Maintain clear documentation of customer interactions and support cases

  • Contribute to the improvement of training materials, support documentation, and internal knowledge resources

  • Represent Inspired Flight professionally in all customer interactions


 


You’ll excel in this role if:



  • History with hardware-based technology businesses

  • Use drones for industrial or government purposes

  • Familiarity with Hubspot or other CRM ticketing systems

  • Strong communication & critical thinking skills

  • UAV Pilot experience and/or an FAA Part 107 License



Education/Experience Requirements: 



  • Associates or bachelors degree in relevant field or at least two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 1+ year experience in a technical support role
