Job Description - Customer Support Technician

Client: FL Government Agency
Position: Customer Support Technician
Term: ASAP - 06/30/2028, with possible renewal
Pay: $32/Hr
Location: Celebration, FL must already be located in the region
Work Authorization: USC and GC ONLY
 
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. One year of relevant work experience may be substituted for each year of required education.
 
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in
  • The installation, maintenance, and technical support of workstation hardware.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot audio-visual and video conference equipment
  • Monitoring service ticket queue and resolve tickets as assigned.
  • Basic network and telephony support.
  • Providing on-site support for remote troubleshooting by other OIT technical staff.
  • Valid Driver’s License
 
Responsibilities:
  • Travel between locations required 25% - 40% of central FL. - Responsible for traveling to remote sites to resolve IT related issues and/or to deploy resources.
  • Concentration and desire to work in desktop support.
  • Configure and deploy Information Technology resources. Includes, but is not limited to, desktop, laptops, printers, mobile devices.
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, using proven troubleshooting procedures.
  • Assist in coordinating audio-visual setup and videoconference support.
  • Assist with annual inventory scanning and equipment surplus.
  • Install, configure, and update software.
  • Participate in team projects, meetings and assignments.
  • Responsible for documenting solutions to Technology issues.
