CVICU Registered Nurse (RN)

The CVICU RN provides high-acuity, patient-centered care to critically ill cardiovascular patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessments. This role requires strong clinical judgment, autonomous decision-making, and a collaborative approach within a fast-paced critical care environment.

The CVICU RN serves as a patient and family advocate while delivering safe, evidence-based nursing care and maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide high-acuity nursing care with frequent assessments and close patient monitoring

Serve as the patient and family advocate while maintaining privacy and confidentiality

Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment plans

Deliver care with a strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS

Permanent, Full-Time

Department: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)

Shift: Nights Only | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

COMPENSATION

Hourly Pay Range (Based on Experience):

$27.72/hour (early-career range)

$34.32/hour (approximately 10 years of experience)

$39.60/hour (approximately 15+ years of experience)

Shift Differentials:

Night shift differential: $4.25/hour

Sign-On Bonus:

$15,000

Relocation Assistance:

Up to $5,000 (case by case)

Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida or ability to obtain prior to start

Minimum of one (1) year of acute care RN experience required

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within six (6) months of hire

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

CCRN preferred (must be obtained within two (2) years)

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required within thirty (30) days of employment start date
