CVOR Surgical Technologist

Our client is seeking experienced CVOR Surgical Technologists, to provide expert perioperative patient care, functioning as a scrub assistant to physicians during operative and invasive procedures. You'll work under the direction of a Registered Nurse, applying advanced knowledge of aseptic technique and instrumentation to ensure safe, efficient surgical outcomes.

Work Schedules:

• Saturday & Sunday: 6:30AM–3PM
• Monday-Friday: 6:30AM–7PM
• Friday-Sunday: 6:30AM–7PM

Requirements:

• Mentor and serve as a resource to less experienced staff.
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Commit to ongoing professional growth and certification preparation.
• Serve as first scrub, supporting surgeons and ensuring case readiness.
• Participate in case flow management to maintain efficient OR operations.
• Apply principles of asepsis to optimize patient safety during CVOR procedures.
• Prepare, verify, and manage instruments, supplies, and equipment per surgeon preference cards.

Qualifications/Must-Haves:

• Current BLS certification.
• Current CST certification (NBSTSA or NCCT)
• At least 1 year of current CVOR experience.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
• Skilled in instrumentation and perioperative procedures for CVOR.
• Minimum 2 years CVOR surgical technologist experience in an acute care setting.
• Acute care experience required skilled nursing or nursing home only experience will not be considered.

Preferred Skills:

• Additional certifications: CPE, CSP, CIH.
• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field.
• Experience in cardiovascular procedures, OR specialty areas, or high-volume acute care hospitals.
