Cybersecurity Analyst
We are looking for a Cybersecurity Analyst for the Cyber Solutions Practice out of Arlington, VA and support our federal customer site located in Washington, DC. This is a hybrid role, must be available to go in-person 2 times a month and requires US Citizenship, ability to undergo an extensive background check and ability to obtain a Public Trust.
Responsibilities:
Support the cybersecurity program for a federal customer and suggest improvements to their program and/or ways to make it more
efficient/effective.
Engage with Federal and Contractor ISSOs and other system stakeholders (e.g. SO, AO, etc.) developing relationships with them to support continuous monitoring efforts like POA&M management, monthly privileged user account reviews, reviewing monthly continuous monitoring reports, and working directly with ISSOs to remove barriers and escalate risks and issues.
Update risk assessments for cloud systems.
Conduct security control assessments and debrief customers on
findings/recommendations.
Work closely with the other team members to assist with tasks and duties as needed.
Develop a deep understanding of the customers policies, procedures and practices.
Actively participate in customer and internal meetings discussing project status, risks, issues and opportunities.
Keep abreast with Federal initiatives from CISA and others that could impact the customers security program and develop recommendations.
Meet with our team (Arlington, VA) and/or the customer (Washington DC) in person up to two times a month.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (or total of 9 years minimum experience with a HS diploma).
Minimum of 5 years of experience with FISMA, Risk Management Framework (RMF) and related NIST publications, including latest revisions (e.g. NIST 800-53&53A rev 5).
Demonstrated experience conducting security control assessments on Federal information systems.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks based on an established project plan and escalate issues in advance any risks to project schedules.
Superior interpersonal skills and desire to develop customer relationships and engage with stakeholders.
Be able to effectively work as team player with other contractors, Federal employees and our team to support the customer.
At least one relevant technical certification.
This position requires a Public Trust badge and or clearance that requires an extensive background and credit check.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with CSAM or similar GRC tool.
Knowledge of FedRAMP and working on external cloud and hybrid systems.
Experience conducting risk assessments.
GSEC, GSNA, GCCC, Open FAIR Risk Management or CISSP certification.
