• Have both the cyber-security technical background and the contractual analysis and negotiation skills to ensure a collaborative, timely, and favorable outcome that directly contributes to the risk reduction associated with third-party suppliers. Significant time will be spent reviewing contract deviations, collaborating with teammates and external suppliers, and writing subsequent deviation summaries.

• Identifies and assesses Truist’s Corporate cybersecurity legal, regulatory and industry compliance. Develops and executes strategies for closing cybersecurity management compliance gaps, partners in the analysis of legal, regulatory and compliance initiatives.

• Manages cybersecurity risk and compliance functions which include: establishing cyber polices and standards designed to safeguard the firm’s systems and data, performing assessments to identify, manage and mitigate cyber risks, assess and guide remediation of compliance gaps, maintain library of cyber risks and controls, and evaluate and track the cyber program maturity, security advisor to business segments and functions

Establishes and manages a strategic approach to information/cyber security compliance according to laws and regulations

Manages multiple work efforts with a sense of urgency

Possesses a strong desire and willingness to learn

Demonstrates excellent verbal communication, presentation, and writing skills

Exhibits strong business analysis, problem-solving, and negotiation skills

May lead IT cybersecurity initiatives and typically leads moderately complex projects and participates in larger, more complex initiatives

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferably in regulatory affairs, business, organizational or compliance law, or financial services.

Eight years related experience at a large financial institution performing legal, compliance, or other duties such as risk management and/or project management.

Strong working knowledge on cybersecurity risks, frameworks, best practices and industry/regulatory requirements.

Strong knowledge on cybersecurity risks, frameworks, best practices and industry/regulatory requirements. Knowledge and experience in use of cyber security frameworks in assessing programs

Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years related experience at a large financial institution performing legal, compliance, or other duties such as risk management and/or project management

Experience with cyber-security contract negotiations

Ability to work independently and build relationships

Extensive experience conveying complex information in simple, succinct explanations

Exceptional attention to detail

Excellent and collaborative time management skills

Strong working knowledge of cybersecurity risks, frameworks, best practices and industry/regulatory requirements. Knowledge and experience in use of cyber security frameworks in assessing programs

Ability to decompose problems and make decisions when problems or solutions are not 100% defined

Strong technical writing skills

Thorough understanding of cybersecurity principles

Strong Networking and/or Cloud Experience

Bachelor’s degree preferably in regulatory affairs, business, organizational or compliance law, or financial services or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

Educational background: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business or Finance or other related field required. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree

Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint experience

5+ years of information security experience

Experience with GRC Tools (i.e. Archer)

Experience with contract tools (i.e. Ariba)

Certifications such as CISA, CEH, CISSP, CCSK and/or Cloud Service Provider training (AWS, Azure)

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS

Able to access and interpret client information received from the computer and able to hear and speak with individuals in person and on the phone.

Manual Dexterity / Keyboarding

Able to work standard office equipment, including PC keyboard and mouse, copy/fax machines, and printers.

Able to work all hours scheduled, including overtime as directed by manager/supervisor and required by business need.

Travel

Minimal and up to 10%
