Position Overview

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Threat Hunter to proactively identify, investigate, and mitigate advanced cyber threats within a DoD enterprise environment. This individual will conduct threat hunting activities, analyze large datasets, leverage threat intelligence, and collaborate with incident response teams to identify malicious activity before it impacts operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct proactive threat hunting across enterprise systems and networks.
• Identify indicators of compromise (IOCs) and advanced persistent threats (APTs).
• Analyze log data, endpoint telemetry, and network traffic.
• Transform threat intelligence into actionable detection content.
• Develop and automate hunting methodologies using scripting tools.
• Lead investigations involving sophisticated adversary activity.
• Support incident response efforts during critical cybersecurity events.
• Utilize MITRE ATT&CK framework to map adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
• Prepare detailed findings and recommendations for technical and leadership audiences.

Required Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
• Eligible for IT-I Critical Sensitive/Tier 5 clearance.
• 5+ years of experience in:
  • Threat Intelligence
  • Incident Response
  • Penetration Testing
  • Digital Forensics
  • Reverse Engineering
• 3+ years analyzing attacker techniques and cyber campaigns.
• Experience with Splunk, Python, PowerShell, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of multiple operating systems and enterprise security architectures.
• Experience working with large data sets and log analysis.
• Strong understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK Framework.
