The Cycle Counter is responsible for monitoring assigned inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified to be reflective of reported inventory. Duties also include activities to maintain inventory accuracy through proper processing of records concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, and equipment. Cycle count required materials on a daily basis. Inspect and verify counts of inbound materials as directed. Ensure materials are in proper locations. Conduct searches to locate misclassified inventory. Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products. Publish / report out inventory metrics, as required. Communicate and develop process enhancements as needed (performing root-cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and recommending process improvements to eliminate them) Additional duties as assigned. (May include assisting in receiving and putting away materials, assisting in transfers of materials, etc.) Must ensure safety rules are observed and assist in maintaining clean and orderly stocking. Perform other duties as assigned. Experience operating a forklift and pallet jack. A minimum of one (1) year of related experience with cycle counting OR inventory movement OR inventory continuous improvement Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered. Good math skills. Knowledge of Safety rules and procedures. Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Able to use computer, specifically Microsoft Office Programs, ERP system, and communicating effectively via email and phone. Ability to learn and comprehend instructions and orientation to the job. Proven time management skills with the ability to respond to time-critical issues and work overtime and weekends as needed to meet deadlines. Excellent work ethic with the ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player. Sitting for extended periods of time. Standing for continuous periods of time without being able to leave the work area. Ability to lift 50 lbs. alone occasionally to frequently, and up to 100 lbs. with assistance occasionally by stooping, reaching, bending. Ability to reach, grasp, and manipulate¬. Ability to judge distance and space relationships. Ability to concentrate attention on task at hand for extended periods of time.
