Are you a seasoned Construction Manager seeking a new opportunity with a top-tier engineering consulting firm?
Our client is looking for an expert to manage substantial dam replacement and modification projects. This role offers a chance to apply your extensive knowledge and lead a skilled team on high-impact projects.
Key responsibilities for this role will include (but not limited to):
Oversee a third-party construction management team, including staff and sub-consultants, supervising contract administration, change management, and quality assurance.
Serve as the primary contact for the Owner, Designer, and Contractor during construction.
Coordinate the project team to quickly address issues such as change orders, cost overruns, schedule delays, and compliance matters.
Develop and implement plans for Construction Management, Quality Management, Health and Safety, and Communications.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for dam projects.
Provide full-time on-site presence during project execution or as needed.
Mentor staff in construction management skills, support services like Risk Management and Claims Analysis, and assist design teams with constructability reviews and contractor evaluations.
Lead construction management for large dam projects.
Required and desired skillsets, experience and qualifications for this role:
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of related construction experience, including lead construction management for large, complex public works projects.
Extensive experience in dam construction.
Familiarity with relevant regulations.
PE license and Certified Construction Manager (CCM) is a plus.
Valid U.S. driver’s license.
Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
