Your new role and environment.

As a Data Analyst within the EU Data & Analytics team, you will offer support in building the EU Data strategy and oversee the analytics of the portfolio of data solutions and product. You will also have a key role for the digital transformation of Ahold Delhaize by increasing the impact of data and new technologies for our great local brands by utilizing local brand expertise and solutions with and stimulating exchange of knowledge between the brands.

You will be a key player in refining and driving the EU Data, Intelligence and Innovation strategy. Critical success factor is to build excellent work relations with product experts to connect on both technical knowledge, retail knowledge as well as relationships. Feeding back the analytics will support better and faster decision making and leverage of scale.

Key responsibilities of your role.

Support Ahold Delhaize analytics strategy and approach for knowledge sharing

• Establish actionable scorecard in cocreation with product to define success metrics to benchmark products, monitor the progress and measure the impact of product decisions


• Identify opportunities and flag barriers to stakeholders to advance the use and sophistication of analytics at Ahold Delhaize   


• Is a recognized authority around the use and integration of data and analytics in how we operate and where we can best leverage scale   


• Stay up to date with the latest data & analytics trends, techniques, and best practices, determining how to incorporate the most suitable practices in the company

Supports in forward thinking regarding advanced analytic

• Contribute to the development of new analytics and experimental tools and techniques to establish and further increase Ahold Delhaize’s ability to differentiate through data and analytics  


• Support product and brands with advanced analytics methods, experiences and tools to turn the knowledge and business solutions into tangible products  


• Creates an overview of solutions and capabilities within market intelligence for the different brands and give advice on opportunities.  


• Support in creating scalable, stable way of working over the different brands with efficient processes to collect, engineer, analyze and visualize large datasets, deploying various models and iteratively improving solutions. 

Ensure efficiency of systems and tools required for data collection and analysis

• Support in building data framework and architecture in partnership with Group IT  Partner with IT organization to evaluate and ensure that the interfaces and mechanisms responsible for the flow and access of data are sufficient to meet business needs  


• Support the evaluation of the required infrastructure, scalability of solutions, database design and configuration and available speed

Requirements.

We think you’ll be best geared for success if you can meet the following requirements:

• 4+ years’ experience in a complex, data-driven environment


• Strong knowledge of PowerBi & e-commerce segment


• Strong knowledge of Adobe or Google Analytics


• Nice to have knowledge of Databricks (Python and/or SQL)


• Broad understanding of data analytics business processes and interdependencies


• Experience in working with Development and UI teams (high-level technical understanding (development methodologies, phases, etc.)


• Experience developing and maintaining effective client relationships.


• Capable of working with minimum supervision and demonstrate good analytical judgement, business sense, and client relationship management. 


• Demonstrated ability to write well and communicate clearly.  


• Able to effectively share knowledge and train others to develop their data literacy skills and understanding of the data analytics and data science process.
