KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for a Research & Development Data Analyst.
The R&D Data Analyst will conduct in-depth auditing throughout the year to identify errors and/or deficiencies within the many systems designed to ensure alignment and compliance of various best practices, regulatory and or customer standards. This role will partner with QA, R&D, and Regulatory to ensure all information is accurate and current. The Systems Analyst will also provide executive level reporting on systems to maximize adherence to minimize risk to the business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Capture raw material, formula and finished good data from various inputs, review for accuracy and completeness, and record it in the appropriate system.
* Performs and oversees analysis and recommends appropriate analytic, statistic, and data visualization methods, resources, and tools.
* Work with PLM System Administrator to develop analytic metrics that establish a consistent, coherent approach to data throughout the department.
* Participate in commercialization and data management activities to ensure regulatory compliance of our marketed products (i.e. ingredient compliance, labeling, advertising, etc.) in accordance with local regulations, and other applicable legislation, while keeping our products competitive regarding claims, labeling and advertising.
* Support the Research & Development team in reviewing and improving systems, processes, tools to enhance effectiveness and efficiencies within the department.

Education and/or Experience
* B.S. in Food Science, Nutrition, Microbiology or related field
* At least 1+ years' experience in Data Management or Food Industry related role preferred.
* Experience with TraceGains, Devex or similar software a plus.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, regulatory and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
