Job Description:We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Networking Technician to join our team in Sherman, TX. The primary responsibility of this role is the preparation and verification of data cables within a large warehouse setting, utilizing tools such as the Fluke Pen Tester. This position is pivotal in maintaining the integrity and performance of our network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare data cables for certification, including organization, labeling, and ensuring compliance with initial quality standards.
- Conduct comprehensive verification of data cables using the Fluke Pen Tester and other designated testing equipment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of cable verification results, promptly identifying any discrepancies for further investigation.
- Collaborate with senior technicians in troubleshooting and resolving issues discovered during the verification process.
- Work closely with the team to optimize cable certification workflows and uphold an organized workspace.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in networking, particularly in cable verification.
- Proficiency in using cable testing equipment, specifically the Fluke Pen Tester, with demonstrated expertise.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Effective communication abilities and the capacity to work collaboratively within a team environment.
