Job Description - Data Engineering Specialist with IRS MBI Clearance - Hybrid role in Washington, DC

This job requires IRS MBI clearance, we won't be able to consider applicants who do not have this.

This is a hybrid role with 3 days/week onsite in Washington, DC anticipated and 2 days/week working from home.

Position Summary:
The Data Engineering Specialist will design and implement enterprise-level data models that support IRS data lake architecture. This role ensures data modeling solutions align with business requirements and EDP standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop data models optimized for performance and scalability within a data lake environment.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications for data ingestion and transformation.
Collaborate with Data Pipeline Developers to ensure model integration and functionality.
Support metadata management and data governance initiatives.

Qualifications:

Proven experience developing data models for implementation in data lake architecture.
Strong knowledge of data modeling tools and standards.
Experience in large-scale federal data projects.
Familiarity with IRS or Treasury data architecture is a plus.
