Data Migration Specialist

• Analyze source and target systems to determine data migration requirements and strategies
• Design and implement data migration plans, including mapping, transformation, and validation processes
• Develop scripts, tools, and workflows to automate and streamline migration tasks
• Perform data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and loading (ETL)
• Conduct pre- and post-migration testing to ensure data integrity and completeness
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues during migration
• Document migration processes, configurations, and lessons learned for future reference
• Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and security standards

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in data migration, ETL processes, or database administration
• Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica, SSIS)
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and on-premise systems
• Strong understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and data warehousing
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and documentation abilities

• Experience with ERP or CRM system migrations (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, Oracle)
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
• Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP, Agile)
