We are seeking a highly skilled Data Privacy & Security Litigation Counsel to join one of our prestigious clients' Chicago office. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful legal matters in a collaborative and innovative environment as part of their national Privacy Litigation team.

In this position, you will:

• Manage all phases of privacy litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Draft high-quality legal documents, including complaints, briefs, motions, and discovery requests.
• Conduct legal research and provide analysis related to federal, state, and international privacy laws and regulations.
• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and trial proceedings.
• Collaborate with clients and cross-functional legal teams to develop effective litigation strategies.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate for this Data Privacy & Security Litigation Counsel role is a skilled legal professional with a passion for privacy and data protection law.

Key attributes of the ideal candidate include:

• Experience:
  • At least 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably with a focus on privacy litigation.
  • Experience managing case work-up, depositions, discovery, and pre-trial motions.
• Credentials:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active Illinois Bar membership in good standing or eligibility for admission.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in legal research using Westlaw or LexisNexis.
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills for drafting briefs and appearing in court.
• Core Competencies:
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret complex legal and regulatory frameworks and develop innovative litigation strategies.
