Job Description

AECOM’s GA Transportation Program is seeking a dynamic Data Scientist II to combine advanced analytics and visualization skills to enable research, development, and consumer-focused deliverables to assist development of databases. This is a hybrid position in office locations in either Atlanta or Savannah, Georgia .

Daily duties and r esponsibilities ;

Will combine advanced analytics and visualization skills to enable research, development, and consumer-focused deliverables to assist development of databases.

Assignments will be formulated from the following focus areas: Machine Learning & Natural Language Processing (Python/R, Autocad, BIM, C#, C++).

Will encompass by using algorithms & statistics to build and compare advanced models in the subfields of machine learning, deep learning & natural language processing using software development principles. Specifically building models, that will focus on database management and tracking of assets within the database, regardless of data in its raw native language.

Application Development via Data Science APIs and SDK. Applications developed will specifically be built upon for consumer and client use in multiple disciplines but will have a strong focus for transportation-related engineers (Environmental, Civil, Bridge, Traffic, and Structural).

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements;

BA/BS in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems, or other related field plus two years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications;

Master’s degree Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems, or other related field

Self-motivated individual and pride yourself on being an excellent communicator, both verbally and written.

Proficiency with and understanding of machine learning frameworks, libraries, programming such as C programming, PowerBi, PowerAutomate, SQL, Python, MATLAB, Jupyter Notebooks, Pytorch, etc. al.

Proficiency with and understanding of the suite of ESRI products, online, enterprise, and desktop.

Working knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), ESRI, online, enterprise, and desktop applications required.

Experience and working knowledge of Sharepoint creation.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $55,029.50 - $75,665.57.
