Position Overview:
The Database Manager will be responsible for implementing and supporting computer systems through a phased approach, including requirements analysis, conceptual design, site survey, system design review, critical design review, installation, integration, and testing. This role involves performing requirements analysis across various user needs, primarily in office automation, and presenting system designs for approval. The Database Manager will also handle configuration management, software integration, testing interpretation, and troubleshooting, providing effective solutions to software-related issues.
Key Responsibilities:
-Implement computer systems following a structured phased approach:
-Requirements analysis
-Conceptual design
-Site survey
-System design review
-Critical design review
-Installation, integration, and testing
-Conduct requirements analysis for a diverse range of users and document findings
-Develop and present system designs for user approval during formal review sessions
-Perform configuration management activities to ensure software integrity
-Integrate software components, interpret test results, and troubleshoot issues
-Review and recommend solutions for unsatisfactory test results
-Provide solutions to identified software problem reports to ensure system functionality and stability
Minimum Requirements:
-A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in system implementation, management, and support
-Proven experience in lifecycle support activities, including maintenance, administration, and management of IT systems
-Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority to validate expertise
- DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II
